Essex Heritage was able to offer three important virtual conversations as part of our new fall program series “Redefining Heritage”.
Our first talk was “Redefining Nature and Shaping Our Environment” with Deputy Director of Groundwork Lawrence, Lesly Melendez and Outreach Manager for Ipswich River Watershed Association, Rachel Schneider. You can view a recording of this talk HERE.
The second conversation was “Redefining the Struggle for Labor Equity in Essex County” with Salem State University history professor Aviva Chomsky, Ipswich Town Historian Gordon Harris, and Visitor Services Supervisor at Lawrence Heritage State Park Jim Beauchesne. Our final topic was “Redefining the Creative Economy and How we Value Arts and Culture” with Chief Creative Officer for Creative Collective John Andrews, Planning Director for the City of Lawrence Pedro Soto, and Director of Exhibitions and Public Programs at Montserrat College of Art Nathan Lewis.
