The Beverly Room contains local history, books by and about Beverly people and places, genealogy, Essex County and Massachusetts history, and Beverly government documents. The Library sponsors, lectures, author talks, book discussion groups, children's programs, poetry readings and other programs. The Will Barnet Gallery houses prints by Beverly born artist Will Barnet. Our web site has full text public documents and links to genealogy and local history information.


Main Library is open: Monday-Thursday: 9 AM to 9 PM; Friday-Saturday: 9 AM to 5 PM; Sunday: 1 PM to 5 PM (closed in the summer – Memorial Day to October)

Driving Directions: 

From Route 128 North: Take Exit 22 (Elliott Street/Route 62) and turn right onto Elliott Street. Follow Elliott Street (Route 62) east until you reach Cabot Street, about 2.5 miles. Turn right onto Cabot Street and then take your 3rd left onto Winter Street. The library is the large brick building on the left. Parking: There is limited parking in the lot on Winter Street next to the Library and there are spaces on Essex Street in front of the Library. There are also a number of public parking lots in the nearby area.
