Grant Project Manager Carol Majahad and Grant Research Intern Claire Brady will guide you through the start of their exploration of the Local History Collection and Biographical Files at the Haverhill Public Library’s Special Collections. Delve into a comprehensive array of published and unpublished sources, as well as educational resources compiled by the researchers.<\/p>\n
In celebration of Black History Month, we invite you to take a closer look at some of the stories of Haverhill’s enslaved, freed, and free African-American individuals from the settlement period through the 19th century. Discover some of the narratives of Haverhillites of African descent who have significantly shaped the city from the 19th Century onward.<\/p>\n
