DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day of fun and festivities as we celebrate the trades of the past and the individuals who keep those skills alive. \nMarblehead Museum is bringing back the sights\, sounds\, and smells of colonial New England at its 2nd Annual Colonial Craft Fair! Enjoy a stroll along the beautiful gardens of the Jeremiah Lee Mansion\, meeting skilled artisans and historic reenactors as they demonstrate crafts from a time gone by. \nWatch how Ipswich lace was once made by members of the Marblehead Lacemakers’ Guild\, or get a hands-on look at colonial firearms with a historic flintlock gunsmith. Chat with members of Glover’s Marblehead Regiment or see 18th–century food being prepared by a Culinary Historian. \nFrom coopering and leatherworking to tin-smithing and rope–making\, there are many things to see and learn!  \nTICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR \nMay 24th 10:00am-4:00pm \nMembers: $10 per Person / $25 per Family\nNon-Members: $15 per Person / $40 per Family\nAges 3 & Under: FREE \n**Rain Date is Sunday\, May 25th**

SUMMARY:Meet the Marquis de Lafayette
DESCRIPTION:To celebrate the 200th anniversary of Lafayette’s tour of the U.S. and his visit to Marblehead and the Jeremiah Lee Mansion\, Marblehead Museum will host a gathering in the Lee Mansion Gardens (rain or shine)\, 12 pm-1:30 pm. \nA Lafayette reenactor will arrive in a carriage and address the crowd. You can also hear an reenactment of the honors presented to Lafayette by the citizens of Marblehead\, and mingle with members of Glover’s Regiment.
