The\u00a0Hannah<\/em>, the first ship in Washington\u2019s fleet was launched in September 1775. To commemorate that important part of Marblehead\u2019s history, the\u00a0Fame<\/em>\u00a0– very similar in size and appearance to the\u00a0Hannah\u00a0<\/em>– will be docked at Marblehead\u2019s State Street Landing, 75 Front Street, from 9:00am to 10:15am on Saturday, September 20th, and Sunday, September 21st. Visitors may board the ship for free and experience an 18th<\/sup>\u00a0century schooner. Crew and members of Glover\u2019s Regiment will be on hand to tell the story of\u00a0Hannah<\/em>\u00a0and answer questions.<\/p>\n

On BOTH mornings we will offer a 90-minute sail from 10:15am-11:45am<\/strong>. All tickets are $50<\/strong>, with proceeds to benefit the Marblehead 250 events for 2025 and 2026. CLICK HERE<\/a> <\/strong>to purchase tickets<\/p>\n

Please Note:<\/strong> This is a SAIL, so the route is subject to wind and weather. We sail as far and as fast as we can based on conditions, and our goal is always to shut off the engine and give our guests an authentic schooner experience, but every trip is different.<\/p>\n

Guests have the opportunity to raise sails, take the tiller, learn knots, and engage with our knowledgeable crew about Hannah\u2019s and Fame\u2019s interesting histories, and learn about the many islands, lighthouses, forts, and other sights of Salem Sound.
