All are welcome.<\/p>\n<p>Essex Heritage invites you to a\u00a0<strong>FREE<\/strong> workshop. Youth in the region are asking their teachers for a more accurate and honest portrayal of U.S. History and how events impacted ALL of the people that live in America. Using primary sources from institutions throughout Essex County, local educators, historians and scholars will help us reexamine the American Revolution through the lens of women, Black and Indigenous people.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What is the current interpretation of the American Revolution in our regional public history and educational programming?<\/li>\n<li>What are the stories related to these topics that our institutions are not telling, especially as it relates to women, Black and Indigenous people\u2019s perspectives?<\/li>\n<li>How has commemoration of the American Revolution celebrated and perpetuated traditional narratives about the Revolution in our area?
