Asbury Grove History Tour

Join us for a guided walking tour of the grounds and buildings of the 19th century campground , which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The tour will include the chapel, tabernacle, library, hotel/dining hall, vespers circle, church society buildings, and the historic cottage as a museum to depict life during the height of the Camp Meeting period. Some residential cottages will also be open for viewing.

Special Instructions: 

The tour will begin at the Asbury Grove Chapel, built in 1884.

Driving Directions: 

Rte-128 North to Exit 20A (toward Wenham/Hamilton) onto Rte-1A North. In Wenham center turn left at large white church onto Arbor Street. Arbor Street becomes Highland Street at Hamilton town line. At blinking light turn left onto Pleasant Ave. Go under the arch and over the hill into the Asbury Grove center. The Chapel is to the right. Parking available anywhere on the grounds.
