Gloucester Sea Serpent

Celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Gloucester Sea Serpent Sighting with the Cape Ann Museum and Maritime Gloucester. Create sea serpent sculptures in the Museum Courtyard using marine debris and found objects. At noon, parade down the hill to Maritime Gloucester for more art making activities. This is a joint event with Maritime Gloucester at 23 Harbor Loop where the afternoon segment begins at 12:30 p.m. Participation in both events is not necessary but encouraged.

Special Instructions: 

Weather permitting the activity will take place in the courtyard, otherwise it will move in to the CAM Activity Center. All ages welcome! This is a drop-in program but space is limited; first come, first served. Call (978)283-0455 x10 or email info@capeannmuseum.org for details.

Driving Directions: 

I-95 to Rte-128N towards Gloucester/Rockport. At 1st traffic circle (Grant Circle Rotary), take 1st right onto Washington St. Pass over railroad tracks, and take 4th left onto Prospect St. Take 4th right onto Pleasant St. The Cape Ann Museum is on left across from municipal parking lot.
