Goldsmith Woodlands Hike

Hosted By:

AVIS- Second oldest land preservation society in the country.

Trails & Sails Dates:

September 25, 2019, 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM
Come celebrate AVIS's 125 year anniversary by joining us for a hike at Goldsmith Woodland Reservation. Goldsmith Woodlands is one of 29 reservations owned and maintained by AVIS. It is a 170-acre woodland with a beautiful pond and a variety of plant species. We will hike on the main trail which leads to a small ridge overlooking the pond. On our return, we may explore some other trails. The total hike distance will be about 2.5 miles. Pair this event with an earlier afternoon visit to AVIS Art Exhibit on 97 Main Street. You can view pictures of many AVIS reservations and learn about the history before joining us for the hike (see other Trails and Sails Event for Andover listed for this same day). Following the hike, you could enjoy dinner downtown Andover before heading home!

Special Instructions:

Meet at the reservation entrance at 491 South Main Street, Andover. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bug repellant. Bring water. Well behaved dogs on leashes welcome.
