Historic And Cultural Rockport

Walking tour will include history and tales of the granite, shipbuilding and sail making industries that were all part of the town's beginnings. Historical homes and bits and pieces of local lore all make this an interesting walk. The tour last approximately one hour and will begin in Dock Square at 10 am and continue through the cultural (including Rockport Music's Performance Center and the Rockport Art Association) and historical district then move on to Millbrook Meadow one of Rockport's hidden gems.

Special Instructions: 

Good walking shoes etc. Tour will be about 1.5 mile easy walk with stops along the way.

Driving Directions: 

Dock Square is in the heart of downtown Rockport near the entrance to Bearskin Neck and in front of the Blue Lobster Restaurant. From the intersection of 128 and 127 follow Route 127 into Rockport center. You can park on Main Street or in various public lots around town.
