Take a guided walk in the footsteps of Winslow Homer, Fitz Henry Lane, Augustus Buhler, Frank Duveneck, Marsden Hartley, Edward Hopper and other greats in the history of American art. Visit the sites where these famous Rocky Neck artists worked, lived and became inspired. See first-hand the iconic land and seascapes that gave rise to the area's illustrious artistic legacy - and which today provide the backdrop for one of the country's oldest and most renowned working art colonies.

This is a walk on neighborhood streets, with some hills. Tour will begin at the Cultural Center at Rocky Neck at 6 Wonson Street and walk for about an hour around the Art Colony.

Driving Directions: 

I-95 to Rte-128N towards Gloucester/Rockport. Follow Rte-128 to its northern end. Pass through 2 roundabouts to continue straight on Rte-128N. Turn left onto E Main St. Turn right onto Rocky Neck Ave. Park in the public lot on your left on Rocky Neck Avenue and walk straight ahead toward Sailor Stans to The Cultural Center on Wonson Street.
