Pine Grove Cemetery Commission, Lynn Historical Commission, Lynn Cultural Council, and the Lynn Community Association
Part 2 of the Pine Grove Cemetery tour meets at the Parkland Avenue entrance. It includes the Civil War and the Spanish American War Burial Grounds, the sections of the cemetery developed after the1850s and notes the different cemetery styles. You'll learn about still more renowned architects, sculptors and Lynn luminaries such as Elihu Thomson, founder of General Electric, Lydia Pinkham of Vegetable Compound fame, Civil War heroes and others forgotten by the present. We'll address the myth and truth about the cemetery’s wall and so much more.
Meet at the PARKLAND AVENUE entrance at 110 Parkland Ave. This is a walking tour so please wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Rain or shine. Mostly wheelchair accommodating but you will not be able to view some monuments close up. Absolutely no dogs allowed in cemetery. There are no restrooms.

FROM RTE-128/95 take Rte-129 East into Lynn for ~3.4 miles to Wyoma Square. Take a right onto Parkland Ave (street before East Boston Savings). The Cemetery Entrance is on the left, ~ 0.3 miles after turn on to Parkland Ave. FROM RTE-107, turn on to Chestnut Street. Follow signs for Rte-129 West onto Broadway. At Wyoma Square get into left lane and turn onto Richardson Rd (It is the road right before East Boston Savings Bank on the left). At the end of Richardson Rd. turn left onto Parkland Ave, the cemetery entrance is on the immediate left. FROM RTE-1A, Turn on to Eastern Ave/Route 129A West. At Western Ave/Rte 107/Rte 129A - turn left. Take a right on to Chestnut Street/Rte-129A West. Follow signs for Rte-129 West onto Broadway. At Wyoma Square get into left lane and turn onto Richardson Rd (It is the road right before East Boston Savings Bank on the left). At the end of Richardson Rd. turn left onto Parkland Ave, the cemetery entrance is on the immediate left.
