A walking tour along Marblehead’s earliest harbor (1629 to c.1700) at the northeast tip of the mainland peninsula, where Native Americans summered for hundreds of years. Stunning views of the coves and islands. Early history, social history, fishing history — and architecture & aeroplanes. About a half mile one way / 15 min. back on your own. At tour’s end, 2 good restaurants nearby with harbor view. 10 min. further is Marblehead’s historic fort (1644 – 1790s) which looks out over the 1st harbor, islands & main harbor. Restrooms there.
