Preservation Massachusetts, in partnership with The 1772 Foundation, has announced the final recipients of a new historic preservation grant program for Massachusetts. Essex Heritage is excited to be the recipient of a $5,000 matching grant to paint the exterior of the Assistant Lighthouse Keeper’s House at Bakers Island Light Station. We plan to complete this project during the summer and we are very appreciative of this generous award that makes the much needed project possible.
