Photographers get snapping! All photographers are invited to submit images to the 2018 Photo Contest. This contest captures the spirit of the Essex National Heritage Area & images that speak to Essex Heritage’s role in preserving the historic, cultural, and natural treasures of Essex County. All submissions are due by December 15, 2018. Any photograph captured between January 1, 2018 and December 15, 2018, and assigned to one of three contest categories is eligible to win. The 2018 Photo Contest categories are: “Off the Beaten Path,” “People of Essex County,” and “A Closer Look.” This year, Essex Heritage will also be piloting an “Instagrammers of Essex County” challenge category, inviting all Instagram users to submit your best pics of Essex County with the hashtag #EssexHeritagePhotoContest.
Submission Deadline Date: December 15, 2018
Sponsored by the Essex Heritage, Hunt’s Photo & Video and the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission, the 2018 Photo Contest will award up to 11 prizes to photographers: one Grand Prize winner and a People’s Choice award followed by a first, second, and third prize winner in each of the three contest categories. The award-winning photographs are to be exhibited at the Hunt’s Photo & Video flagship store (100 Main Street, Melrose, MA) and will also be displayed at the National Park Service Visitor Center in Salem (2 New Liberty Street, Salem, MA) and the offices of the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission in Haverhill (160 Main Street, Haverhill, MA).
