National Parks journalist Kevin Grange, and photographer Jason Varney, visited the Essex National Heritage Area in August 2013. Their story, Stewards & Storytellers, was featured in the spring 2014 edition of National Parks, the award-winning quarterly magazine by The National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA).
