Join us for our next Heritage Friend Event at the Custom House Maritime Museum and learn about the rich history of Newburyport by exploring its expansive collection of maritime artifacts displayed in multiple galleries.
This impressive building which had once been a Custom House is located in the heart of downtown Newburyport on the banks of the Merrimack River. Executive Director James Russell will welcome guests to explore the newly “re-imagined” space including the recent launch of a Kids’ Discovery Center with touch tank, models, and play space. Docents will also be available to answer questions. Enjoy light refreshments while immersing yourself in Newburyport’s fascinating past!
This event is open to Essex Heritage members FREE of charge but registration is required. Space is limited. Non-member registration is $5.00 per person.
